Snacking.
It is the bane of my existence.
Don't get me wrong...
I love to snack.
But I love to snack on:
Candy
Chips
Candy
Chips
Did I mention candy?
Snacking makes me feel like I am not starving all the time.
Even though,
let's face it...
I'm never starving.
Snacking is why!
The key to snacking is packing ahead/preparing ahead of time snacks you will actually eat.
(similar to what I said in this post)
It doesn't matter what I like...
it doesn't matter what your BFF likes...
it only matters what healthy snacks YOU like.
Get it?

But...
sometimes we need a little inspiration.
It's fun to see different ideas and implement them in your own way.
So...
I give you.
Snack Attack.
AKA...how I plan my snacks at work...
so I don't just eat chips all day.
(even though, lets face it...I still will eat a few :)
I wash and prepare my snack trays only a few days in advance.
I'm weird and think if you do a full week in one day...by the time you get to Friday the produce isn't as fresh...
the flavors blend together..
I just can't do it.
So I go shopping on Monday/Tuesday, and prepare them for the next few days (2-3 days)
These snacks are perfect for taking out of the fridge and enjoying little compartments at a time.
For example.
A cheese stick and a few slices of pepperoni.
Cucumbers and Celery dipped in Olive Garden Dressing (light)
Grapes and Pears
Trail mix and roasted almonds
You get the point :)
Some items I like to prepare ahead of time, but don't want them included in my snack box.
Like Strawberries with sugar.
I keep these in a separate bowl
on top of my snack trays
and take them with me.
It's the perfect sweet pick-me-up.
The trick to healthy eating is having items that are washed, prepared and ready to go!
If i were to just take a container of unwashed, uncut strawberries...and no sugar...
the chances of me eating them are SLIM.
BUT
If i wash them.
Cut them up.
And have them ready to go...
I'll easily reach for that snack before my bag of chips.
