New Years Resolutions:
- Do Art. One of my favorite
pastimes. I punch myself and wonder why I didn't just finish getting
my degree in art. Stupid me. Its my outlet. I need to make time for
it.
- Patience. I think this is added into my resolutions EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. I feel like if you are patient, good things happen, and you tend to find joy in every aspect when you are able to take things one at a time. Why it has to be so hard? Great question. My patience is tested daily with my work, so hopefully this year will be the year to master it.
- Take more time to do the simple things that make me feel better. Gym time. Painting my nails (outside of work), reading books, shave my legs consitently (pathetic...but lets face it, in the winter...it can get a little scary).
- Take up some sort of fitness class. Yoga? Zumba? Pilates? Synchronized Swim?
- Dress more girly. A T-Shirt and Jeans is my best friend. Not to say that I don't like wearing that, but I am striving to bring in a few more lady-like pieces to my wardrobe.
- Be better at thinking through circumstances before I react. In multiple areas of my life.
Travel with Jarrick. We have already started planning our Europe trip. This is happening. More to come on that.- Take time to blog. Secretly I really enjoy it. I don't ever feel like I have to, I just have always done it when I felt like it. I love looking back at previous posts, so i'm making it a higher importance in my life.
- Take a picture everyday. I have cleaned off 3 rounds of photos off my iPhone 5 since I got it. (We are talking about 3,000 pictures). So, obviously I don't have a problem taking pictures. But I want to look back and remember the little things. Even if my days can be incredibly monotonous, there is something beautiful each day that I can admire....and that is what I hope to capture.
- Learn to like tomatoes.
- Discover new music to add to my ever-growing collection.
- Get a new hairstyle. (CHECK) Completed(1/1/13) at about 10:30 pm. The bangs are back and I couldn't be more excited about it.
-
Reconnect with a few friends that I have missed in my life.
- Juice more often. I really like it. I just get to lazy to do it. Juicing at least once a week.
- Try some new recipes. I know how to cook about 5 things from memory...time to expand.
