Guess who's back...back again....

We are back from Europe.
It feels great.
I miss it already.
But i missed my bed and families more.
...and Chloe.
Gosh, we missed that pooch more than we ever should have.
I have approximately 1,894 pictures from Europe and 6 little videos i made to document our trip. I'm sure no one would ever want to hear every little detail of our trip. So instead of writing full fledged novels of our adventure, you can just watch the video and feel like you were there with us. Win/Win.

Just a little overview about our favorites in Europe:

  • Germany is incredible. I want to live there. By far my favorite destination of the trip.
  • They don't believe in ice...or cold drinks for that matter. I missed that. A lot.
  • However, Fanta orange soda in Europe is amazing. Like, the best thing you will ever taste.
  • Europe take things so slowly. It's great! When they go to dinner, they are there for hours. I loved that.
  • Style in Europe? Incredible. I thought it was all hype. But no, they just rock it.
  • Pastries/Baked Goods are a staple. Why we don't have cute little pastry stands? i'll never know.
  • Scratch that...its because i would be a million pounds if we had pastry stands. #factsoflife
  • Italian Gelato IS all it is cracked up to be. Favorite? Chocolate Orange & Banana.
  • There is no such thing as free water at a restaurant. I missed unlimited amounts of H2O.
  • Romanian people might be the sweetest things ever. I loved them.
  • We quite possibly walked 5,000 miles. If not that many...it felt close to that.
  • The buildings there are stunning. Simply amazing. Even little apartments or cafes? Adorable.
  • Seeing things that were as old as AD or even better...BC. Are you kidding me?

Coming back has been a huge adjustment. I wake up in the middle of the night (the past few days 3,4 and 5 o-clock in the morning) and am STARVING. But all through the  day i have no appetite and am exhausted. So, either i need to become a vampire or try and figure out this whole jet lag thing.

We were gone for two glorious weeks. Best thing about the trip? Hands down was the one-on-one time with Jar. No phones. No TV. No distractions. Just me and my bestie all day errry day. We had some of the funniest conversations and had time to just unplug from reality and simply enjoy each other. Between work, school, house remodelling/selling we don't usually have the time to sit and talk about anything other than those topics. Life can get consuming. So, to have time with just.us. was incredible.

Now we are back to real life. Which honestly, is pretty awesome as well. My work was so sweet to me and made me feel like a million bucks when i came back. Such an amazing group of people ProgFi has. So i'm back at work trying to play catch up and figure out what all happened while i was gone. It's a little intimidating. I had 180+ emails to catch up on and it felt a little intimidating. Also, apparently when you are away for two weeks from a growing company a million things change. I feel like a loser i know nothing anymore.

Jar left for Myrtle Beach, SC for a Golfing Business trip on Friday night. (Poor guy only got one day home!) I like to joke with him and say stuff like, "Wow, rough life much?" But honestly, i knew he was SO TIRED. So I know he is having an amazing time, but i sure do miss him.

Its great to be back. I love America...even better...i love Utah. :)
More pictures and Videos to come! :)

  1. Oooooh I want to go to Europe SO badly! Soooooo badly. One day :)
I can't wait to see more of your trip! I'll be living vicariously through you :)
But I totally understand how wonderful it is to be home! We were in northern Utah last week, and while it was amazing and made me miss living there a hundred times more, it was the best feeling to sleep in our own bed our first night home!

Isn't it funny how you can be in the most incredible places in the world and home still is the happiest place to be? I love it!
