Bake Me a Pie.

I am not a baker by any means.
But when i saw pie+ball jar=personal pie..
How could i not give it a shot.
I thought these would be adorable for.
.Bridal/Baby/Wedding Shower.
.Birthday Party.
.Thank you gift.
.Christmas gifts.
Wrap an adorable ribbon around one of these babies and give it a try.
So...here is how you do it.

Grab 6-7 apples (you can pick whichever kind of apple you prefer. These are plain ol' gala)

Mason Jars
Now, you kinda need the short version of the mason jar...i figured DI would have oodles...to my dismay they did not. Jill Tilby saved the day letting me use her mason jars...and they are Ball brand...even better.

Skin and slice the apples....

like zeeese....

Make a pie topping (Brown Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon and Salt...Voila!)
You can also use canned apples...i am just a sucker for that fresh apple taste.

Using a pie crust (i did store bought...cmon' i am not that baking skilled) and line the inside of the ball jar with your dough.

Fill your jars with your lovely apple topping and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar....

Lattice the top...(or poke holes through the top so the steam can vent). The lattice just looks evaso classy.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes and POOF you have made a homemade pie in a jar.
